It is recommended you perform the following BEFORE your spray tan appointment
-------

Manicures

Pedicures

Facial waxing, body waxing and shaving

Exfoliate 24 hours before your tan with baking soda and or sugar and water.  Make a paste, scrub it on your skin, rinse and voila!   We recommend this exfoliant for a few reasons.  First, it will not interfere with the natural, organic nature of the spray tan solution.  Many products contain "hidden" ingredients leaving a residue on the skin which creates a barrier for the DHA affecting the full development process of your spray tan.  Second, why waste the money on fancy, expensive products when you probably already have these items at home?  We suggest putting the "extra" spends towards your after care products which are good for your skin and will extend the life of your spray tan.

After your shower please avoid the following
-------

Lotions

Makeup

Deodorant

Perfume

Again, any skin additives can affect how the spray tan adheres to your skin creating a barrier hindering the development of the DHA.  Makeup wipes will be provided at the time of your appointment if needed.

Chap sticks, lipsticks, glosses and mascaras are okay to have on during your tan.

Immediate after care for your spray tan
-------

The first rinse after your spray tan application should be with WARM WATER ONLY (NO SOAP).

Do not shower for 6 to 8 hours after your spray tan application.   Showering before the time frame may lighten up your color and impact the results of the spray tan.

Do not wash your face before your first shower even before bed.

No sweating, swimming, getting wet or exercising until your first shower after your spray tan.

There is a bronzer in the solution, which means that you will have some color immediately after you are sprayed.  The color will continue to darken as the solution develops.  Your color will lighten after you shower off the bronzer.  You will see color coming off in your first shower. This is normal.  Your spray tan is not washing off, it is just bronzer.

Long term after care for your spray tan
-------

Pat dry after every shower.  Vigorous rubbing will exfoliate your skin and your tan will not last as long.

Do not exfoliate with loofas, body scrubs, body washes or soaps with exfoliating beads until your tan starts to fade away (7 to 12) days.

We recommend showering with  Glo Soap bar, an organic soap specifically made for sunless tanning.  It is sulfate free, infused with coconut oil, enriched with goat's milk and can be used with any sunless tanning products.

Moisturizing and hydration are two very important steps to maintain your spray tan.  Using the correct tan extender will hydrate the skin adding life and vibrancy to your spray tan.  Be sure to also drink plenty of water!

Always wear sunscreen when out in the sun.  It is best to choose sunscreens that are free of harsh chemicals.   Our choice to use with your spray tan is White Girl sunscreen.  It is paraben, oxybenzone, alcohol and oil free.  It will not strip your spray tan and is great to use before your vacation and or honeymoon spray session.

Try to avoid the ocean or the pool for at lease one day after your spray tan.  Salt water and chlorine may make your tan fade faster, however it is not going to remove the tan immediately.

What to expect when spray tanning
-------

For your session we provide disposable undergarments but,  you can wear a bikini, one piece bathing suit or your birthday suit depending on your comfort level or preference.   We suggest keeping your bra off after your session however, e recommend a strapless bra if putting one back on is  a must.

You will feel a little sticky – this is normal.  Consult with your spray tan specialist about our drying powder option.

After your spray tan you should wear dark, lose clothing.  If raining at the time of your appointment please bring an umbrella and appropriate outerwear.

The bronzer may get on the inside of your clothes or on your sheets. It washes out so don’t worry!
