Will I Turn Orange?

NO! There is a huge misconception out there that spray tanning results in looking like an Oompa Loompa! Advances in technology and high quality product ingredients allow your spray tan specialist to provide you with a flawless, natural result. As a very important first step, we prep our clients with a pH balancing solution that neutralizes the skin to achieve optimal results.

Here are a few things that can have a negative impact on your spray tan results:

The product is expired. Most times you will see a greenish tint on your body if the solution is expired. Rest assured you are not at risk for this with And So It Glows. We go through and replenish our products often enough that this will never happen.

Medications you are taking can change the ph levels of your skin. Please discuss this with your Spray Tanning Specialist on or before your appointment so that we can provide the proper guidance.

Hormones around menstrual cycles for women. This probably has the most minimalistic affect on your result but, we still suggest mentioning it to your Spray Tanning Specialist.

The three biggest contributing factors of an “orange” result is low quality spray tan solution, oversaturation and your skin prep.

Our spray tan solution is made of the highest quality, all natural, organic, vegan certified ingredients so you are safe with us.

Although there are certain areas of the skin that tend to adsorb more solution than others (causing oversaturation) which may result in an “orange like” appearance, our spray tanning specialist are all well trained and have perfected their technique to treat these areas with special care. The protocol on how we administer our spray lends minimal risk for oversaturation.

We recommend a simple exfoliant of sugar and baking soda and water to use before your spray tan. There are certain ingredients in over the counter products that may not be a good match with our spray tan solution. Please let your Spray Tan Specialist know what exfoliant you use if different than what we suggest.
